Frequently asked questions

What happens when the value of my securities fall?

You’re required to maintain a minimum of 50% loan to value (LTV) ratio to continue enjoying the loan against securities. If LTV falls beyond 50%, you’ll have to regularise your loan account by paying in cash or by pledging more collateral. This additional collateral or the payment should be in the form and manner acceptable to Bajaj Finance Limited. It should be done within seven business days from the date of such an event.

In case you fail to do so, Bajaj Finance Limited holds the right to sell your pledged securities to recover the margin shortfall.

Also, if the LTV ratio falls more than 85%, then Bajaj Finance holds the right to liquidate your pledged securities after sending required notifications.

How can I regularise the margin shortfall in my loan account?

You can regularise it by repaying the shortfall value. You can also pledge more securities in the form and manner acceptable to Bajaj Finance Limited.

You can use our payment services to make a part-prepayment. You can follow these simple steps.

  • Click on the ‘Part-prepay your loan’ option to go to our customer portal – My Account.
  • Sign-in with your registered mobile number and the OTP.
  • Enter your date of birth for verification and proceed.
  • Select the loan account from the ‘My Relations’ section.
  • Click on ‘Make Payment’ within the ‘Quick Actions’ section.
  • Choose ‘Part-prepayment’ as your payment type and proceed to pay.

How frequently is the value of my securities calculated?

Values of pledged shares are updated every 5 minutes and value of lien marked schemes are updated at the end of every day. The IVR (interim valuation report) of the pledged securities is sent to your registered email address daily.

Can I swap/ change securities during my loan tenure?

Yes, you can swap/ change the pledged securities during the tenure of the loan at sole discretion of Bajaj Finance Limited. Swapping would be allowed within the approved securities list of Bajaj Finance Limited.

How can I download documents of my ongoing loan against securities?

You can follow these simple steps to download all your loan against securities documents.

  • Click on the ‘Download documents’ option below to visit our customer portal – My Account.
  • Sign-in with your registered mobile number and the OTP.
  • Enter your date of birth for verification and proceed.
  • Select the loan account from the ‘Document Centre’ section.
  • Find all your documents and click the one you want to download.
